"Raderkraft certainly has an uncluttered style.
The coldness of electro is ever present, but there is also a freewheeling quality to his music.
With respectful nods to past fixed forms, this stripped down outing has that individual streak that  makes it stand out from the angular crowd."

'POLITIESTAAT?!'

Vinyl Release Wave Tension Records : 15-12-2023

Order:

https://wavetensionrecords.bandcamp.com/album/politiestaat

"Politiestaat?!" is the fourth EP in Raderkraft’s discography,

which will be released on 12“ vinyl by Wave Tension Records.

Raderkraft takes you on an introspective journey to the darkest corners of the human mind

with his 4th release called "Politiestaat?!"
The icy synthesizers, hypnotic rhythms and piercing vocals weave a story

with the central themes of fear, misunderstanding and rejection.

Raderkraft brings his signature sound, a unique mix of raw energy

and refined minimalism, back to life. This time only up-tempo songs,

partly in Dutch and also including a remix

and a French cover from the Belgium 80s Minimal Synth band Violence Conjugale.

It also -finally- marks the release of the crowd favorite "De Witte Streep"

(in exclusive 2023 remastered version) on vinyl!

The lavish lyrics reflect a sense of rejection in an indifferent polarizing society.

This mini album will make you think, feel and finally realize that we live in turbulent times.

"Dust & Debris" EP

Digital release: May 7th, 2021

Vinyl Release: June 22nd, 2021

"Dust & Debris" is the third EP in Raderkraft’s discography, which will be released

June 22nd on 12“ vinyl by Wave Tension Records

The songs on this 4-track EP are a lot darker compared to previous releases and treat the dark theme of current day’s global world problems like: the devastating impact of drug addictions; the future existence of our planet due to climate change; the global widespread destruction by nuclear war; and the fear for terrorist attacks.

The atmosphere of a potential dystopian future is strengthened by the use of sampled vocals from media news broadcasts. The title track “Dust and Debris” describes the 9/11 catastrophe and contains a chronological frightening news report from several media sources telling us what happened that day 20 years ago. With this EBM style track Raderkraft perfectly catches the incomprehension and fear that shocked the world.

'DUST & DEBRIS' REVIEWS:

By Will  Dum for MUZZART Magazine 28/06/2021:

https://www.muzzart.fr/20210628_33889_raderkraft-dust-debris-wave-tension-records-22-juin-2021/

(Translated by google translate)

'Project by producer and musician Willem Stinissen, Amsterdam, Raderkraft delivers with this Dust & Debris his third EP. The Dutchman discusses themes such as drug addiction,

the future of the planet following climate change, nuclear power and its ravages as well as the fear of terrorist attacks. Based on sampled voices, talkative synths and removed spatial layers, the four pieces create a sensation and immediately hypnotize the listener while showering them with celestial sounds and gripping loops.

Crack epidemic, from sounds that fuse in voluble song to the airs of newscast presentation, is on target. At regular intervals, clever encrusts take place in Raderkraft's register.

Halfway between Kraftwerk and Silver Apples, to situate with difficulty, we take full advantage, here, of damn catchy titles. We think of The Normal when Greta’s speech arrives, where the recorded voice this time is feminine and alarming. All around, minimal keyboards do their work. A sharp rhythm punctuates them, for the second time Stinissen accomplishes what he does.

The Atomic Warfare alert takes over, it is divided between celestial motifs and once again vivid tempo. It works, there too, unstoppably. The choice of voices "from elsewhere" is commendable, it brings something new to the EP and this one was already not lacking.

The eponymous title, in "video premiere" here, then comes to an end. It lasts longer, just like Crack epidemic, it starts with news clips.

Jerky, trippy, it is adorned with definitely striking curls, simple as well as efficient.

The pace is once again marked, Raderkraft validates here a genre all its own.

Wave Tension Records, his label, therefore completes an eloquent catalog.

From cold hints to electro swerves, from hovering moments to twirling times, supported by the contribution of recorded vocals, Raderkraft establishes its approach.

Alongside a SUIR or a Neon Lies, it credits its structure and arouses the desire for a more consistent format, like an album, which would see it impose itself definitively'

By Jurgen BRAECKEVELT Peek-A-Boo Magazine 29/06/2021:

http://www.peek-a-boo-magazine.be/en/reviews/raderkraft-dust-debris

'Dutchman Willem Stinissen, under his moniker Raderkraft, already hit a nerve with his EP "Smart Control" released in 2019. On Wave Tension Records, "Dust & Debris" will be released on June 22, 2021: 4 dark tracks that cut even deeper into your flesh than the previous work.

Raderkraft does not shy away from current affairs and global issues. As with previous work, there is little vocal input on this new masterpiece, but instead samples are used, mostly from the media.

"Crack Epidemic" highlights the devastating impact of heavy drug addiction as if it were a lecture on the subject. The howling synth melody sounds like a cry for help, laced with interpretation from an American reporter who highlights every facet of drug addiction. The violence and crime, the devastating impact on health and disrupted families, the strain on the welfare sector.

Another global issue that led to large marches and student demonstrations in 2019 is the climate issue. "Greta's Speech" makes Miss Thunberg's message resonate even more. In an Anne Clark-like atmosphere, we are once again presented with Greta's proclaimed words supported by a sparse rhythm section and ditto synths. Again, the icy cold embraces us when we hear how the imminent demise of the world is announced by a 16-year-old. Undoubtedly haunting.

Nuclear threat has also not disappeared from Raderkraft's radar. The dormant fear of this possible global self-destruction if someone decides to unleash a nuclear war pierces through on the third track "Atomic Warfare". You don't get cheerful from the dark melody that carries the sampled speeches here as well. The suffering of Hiroshima, the hundreds of thousands killed as a result of the atomic bomb and the radiation sickness afterwards. The message is musically translated and the bombs fly around your ears at the end, right up to the detonation.

The final threat that passes in review is terror. 9/11, the crying, the crashing sound when the planes penetrated the World Trade Centre, all put in a great EBM jacket. That, in a nutshell, is the fourth track "Dust and Debris." The cadence of the song reflects the disbelief at what happened then: the turmoil is palpable, the panic equally so. The global shockwave full of incomprehension and fear blows heavy bass and live coverage into your ears without ever looking back.

Raderkraft once again lashes out violently with this EP. The themes they present and the way they are elaborated musically, hit hard. This EP is both musically and historically relevant. We take a moment to consider what homo sapiens is capable of. Willem does this in his own powerful way on this "Dust & Debris": chilling and catchy, with minimal synthwave to EBM.

The EP appears digitally and on vinyl, the latter at 250 copies.

Hurry to Bandcamp to get your copy'

 "De Witte Streep"

This Dutch EBM track is an answer to Doe Maar, one of the most popular
Dutch pop bands ever, and their song 'Heroïne’ from 1983.
Just like that song, 'De Witte Streep' is a throbbing ball of frustration
about a (fictional) friend who is addicted to drugs - cocaine in this case.

 'Smart Control' EP

This EP was released in April 2019 by the Belgian Die Blinden Records.
On the follow-up of 2016 'Keine Richtung' the producer builds on his minimal electro sound, deeply influenced by early 80s new wave.

Revisiting the German vocals, throbbing synths and irresistible beats,
he even expands into 70s bright and shiny futurism on the title cut.
In just four tracks, Raderkraft takes you from
the Autobahn straight into the galaxy.

"Smart Control" is available on vinyl/wav/mp3

"Keine Richtung" EP

Released November 2016 on Testlab Records

Bandcamp link:

January 21, 2017 ROBBIE GEOGHEGAN Igloo Magazine:

Testlab recently opened its doors, welcoming guests with a tape of demos and live tracks from a hometown institution. In the 1980s De Koer was a haunt for wave artists, industrial interlopers and synth stalkers. And after that walk down memory lane the fledgling label is ready for a contemporary take.

Raderkraft, a project by Willem Stinissen, caught the ear of Eddy de Clercq, a pioneer of the Netherlands wave scene and boss of Testlab. And on listening to Keine Richtung you can hear why.

Cold, yet surprisingly playful, “Das Leben” is a synth track that seems to smile at the serious situation it finds itself in. Vocals sternly scold plodding melodies in a strangely parental manner. Racing on rapid fire rhythms is the speeding joy of “Wir Sind Zufrieden.” Notes are stark but that tongue in cheek element is again present, that touch of the early experimenters coming to the fore. “Der Rundgang” follows the same sprinting percussion. Arpeggios rumble through rain soaked streets, neon flashing in snare rolls and cascading chords. “Keine Richtung” taps into Club Lederhosen’s post-punk past. Brash and bold bars are hammered by beats. Vocals are scorched by distortion and static. The track is fast, sweat stained and fiery and dripping in angst.

Stinissen mentions his love of pre-MIDI sounds and Raderkraft certainly has an uncluttered style. The coldness of electro is ever present, but there is also a freewheeling quality to the EP. With respectful nods to past fixed forms, this stripped down outing has that individual streak that makes it stand out from the angular crowd.
